This card came together so quickly that I almost missed posting this share! I was rushing to make it to send along with the package of prezzies for my hubby’s grandmother, uncle and aunt (they own an affenpinscher-mix that looks so much like this pup).<\/p>\n

<\/a>I embossed some thick card stock with a polka dot embossing folder to give a little texture and interest to the white background. Then I rummaged through my pile of unused bits and pieces scrap box that had this pile of presents that I had drawn with a Copic multi-liner pen a couple months ago.<\/p>\n

I colored\u00a0the pile of presents\u00a0in one of my favorite Christmas color combinations — red, green, aqua and silver — with\u00a0the following Copic colors:\u00a0Red: R05 and 29;\u00a0Green: G05 and 16;\u00a0Aqua: BG10 and 32;\u00a0Silver: N1 and 3.\u00a0I also used Sakura Gelly Roll pens in Metallic Gold and Clear Star to add sparkle and shimmer.\u00a0I colored up the My Creative Time “Christmas Doggy” to make a black puppy, trying to make sure the face wasn’t too dark to see the adorable facial features: W3, 5, 7, 9. \u00a0The Santa hat was colored with R24, 29 and 39.<\/p>\n

Then I added lots of special little details to the puppy. I added my new favorite faux fur\/snow texture to the pom pom and hat brim with the DecoArt Snow Writer. \u00a0I added highlights to the eyes and nose with a white Sakura Gelly Roll pen. \u00a0Lastly, I used just a pinch of Glossy Accents to add shine to the tiny eyes and nose. It’s amazing all the teeny details we crafters can add to a stamped image! LOL Doesn’t he look like a little stuffed animal toy puppy sitting on top of a pile of Christmas presents? So cute!<\/p>\n
